Elliott Will Race in Rowdy 251 Event at Berlin Raceway on Tuesday

MARNE, Mich. – Chase Elliott will drive his No. 9 Aaron’s Dream Machine/Hendrickcars.com Chevrolet in the fourth annual Rowdy 251 CRA Super Series event at Berlin Raceway on June 19.

Elliott has two previous starts in this event at the .438-mile track. In 2010, he started eighth and finished second. A year ago, the 16-year-old Elliott started 18th and drove his No. 9 Chevrolet to a fifth-place finish.

Tuesday night’s event also will welcome NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Kyle Busch as well as fellow NASCAR K&N Pro Series East competitors Travis Pastrana and Ben Kennedy.

“We have had some decent runs up there but at the same time we still need to be a lot better to keep up with Kyle Busch,” Elliott said. “I feel like our Aaron’s Dream Machine/Hendrickcars.com team has improved as a whole and that’s extremely important when we head up there.

“It’s always fun and very helpful to be able to race against guys like Kyle. That’s the main reason the race is so unique and very competitive because there are so many good cars there.”

In 11 late model starts so far this season, Elliott has posted six wins, eight top-five finishes, 10 top 10s and also earned four pole positions. His most recent late model run took place on June 12 at The Milwaukee Mile, where he raced in the ASA Midwest Tour’s Howie Lettow Memorial 150. In the closing laps, Elliott charged his way to the front and crossed the finish line second.

Elliott will participate in the pre-race autograph session at Berlin Raceway on June 19. For race updates, please follow Cindy Elliott on Twitter at www.twitter.com/cindyelliott9.
